Pay Rate: $15-$17/hour
Schedule: Monday-Thursday, 8:00 AM-5:00 PM; Monday-Friday 8am-5pm during tax season
We are looking for a dependable Receptionist to support daily front office operations for a CPA firm. This contract opportunity is ideal for someone who enjoys creating a welcoming client experience while keeping administrative processes organized and running smoothly. The role is fully onsite and offers a mix of client-facing responsibilities, office coordination, and detail-driven clerical support.
Responsibilities:
• Welcome visitors, assist with client check-in, and help maintain a detail-oriented front desk presence throughout the day.
• Open the office at the start of business and secure the workspace at closing to ensure daily operations run efficiently.
• Handle incoming and outgoing fax communications, scan records for internal use, and keep documents organized for accounting support.
• Enter financial and administrative information accurately, including check details and invoice-related data, into office records.
• Sort, distribute, and prepare mail, including taking outbound items for shipment or delivery as needed.
• Prepare printed payroll checks and support routine banking tasks such as making check deposits.
• Coordinate appointments by scheduling meetings, sending confirmations, and helping manage calendar changes.
• Pick up office or inventory orders when needed and provide general clerical assistance across the team.
• Previous experience in a receptionist, front desk, or administrative support role is preferred.• Strong customer service skills with a detail-focused and approachable communication style.
• Ability to manage data entry and office tasks with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Comfortable handling multiple responsibilities at once and adjusting to changing daily priorities.
• Well-developed organizational skills and the ability to keep records, schedules, and correspondence in order.
• Familiarity with multi-line phone systems, inbound call handling, and general administrative office procedures.
