Sr. Accountant

Growing manufacturer located in West Trenton area seeks Senior Accountant to join small team. The Senior Accountant will report directly to the CFO and be responsible for the following:

General Accounting & Month-End Close

• Maintain the general ledger and ensure accuracy of all accounting transactions.
• Prepare journal entries, accruals, and account reconciliations.
• Manage month-end and year-end close activities.
• Reconcile bank, credit card, fixed asset, and balance sheet accounts.
• Investigate and resolve accounting discrepancies and unusual transactions.
• Ensure accounting records comply with GAAP and company policies.

Financial Reporting

• Prepare monthly financial reports and supporting schedules.
• Analyze revenue, expenses, and operating results.
• Assist management with budgeting and forecasting activities.
• Develop reporting that provides better visibility into business performance.
• Support profitability and cost analysis initiatives.

Tax & Compliance

• Manage multistate sales and use tax reporting requirements.
• Coordinate with external CPA firms regarding tax filings.
• Assist with annual audits and financial reviews.
• Support preparation of year-end reporting and 1099 filings.
• Maintain compliance with applicable accounting and regulatory requirements.
