Step into a rewarding role supporting high school students as a Special Education Teacher in a contract position based near Greenville, WI. The academic year launches on September 1, offering you the opportunity to make a meaningful difference from day one. You’ll work closely with a manageable caseload, providing specialized reading instruction and executive functioning support tailored to students’ needs. With a dedicated math-focused teacher also on the high school team, your main emphasis will be guiding literacy growth and managing IEP goals for your caseload. Key Qualifications:
- Valid Special Education Teacher certification
- Experience with high school students and IEP case management preferred
- Strong skills in providing differentiated reading instruction
- Understanding of executive functioning interventions and ability to individualize support
- Effective communication with students, families, and multidisciplinary staff members
- Commitment to creating an inclusive and encouraging learning atmosphere
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver reading instruction minutes as specified in each student’s IEP
- Manage IEP documentation and compliance for 8 students, serving as their case manager
- Collaborate with the math specialist for coordinated support across academic subjects
- Provide executive functioning minutes as outlined per individual student plans
- Monitor academic and social progress, maintaining open communication with families and staff
- Contribute positively to a team-oriented, student-focused high school community
