Assembly Operator
Pay Rate: $17.00/hour
Shift: Monday – Thursday, 6:00 AM – 4:30 PM (CST)
Overtime required on some Fridays and Saturdays (every other weekend)
Job OverviewJoin our team as an Assembly Operator responsible for operating and maintaining high-speed, large-scale automated assembly equipment. This position requires a strong commitment to safety, quality, and teamwork in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
  • Safely operate assigned automated assembly machines and ensure efficient workflow.
  • Perform complex repairs, major adjustments, machine set-ups, and changeovers as needed.
  • Conduct quality checks in accordance with the Quality Inspection Plan (QIP) and accurately document measurements per specification.
  • Perform scheduled preventive and routine maintenance on machines (daily, weekly, monthly).
  • Troubleshoot and reset machinery faults, clear jams, and restart equipment to minimize downtime.
  • Remove and properly package finished products.
Typical Job Examples
  • Adjust tooling, including sharpening, conditioning, and checking spring-loaded pins and other key features.
  • Replace machine components such as sensors, punches, dies, air cylinders, and belts.
  • Use precision measurement tools (height indicator, ram optic, gauges) and perform microscopic visual checks.
  • Adjust housing feed and other settings based on established standards.

Qualifications & Skills
  • Minimum 1 year of relevant experience in machine operation, maintenance, or assembly in a manufacturing environment; vocational/technical training a plus.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical documents, procedures, and drawings.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
  • Attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
  • Ability to identify when deviation from established procedures is necessary to ensure optimal results.
  • Familiarity with quality and safety standards in a manufacturing setting.

  • Demonstrates problem-solving ability and willingness to learn new processes and equipment.
  • Flexibility to work overtime as required.
