Special Education Teacher - Canton, MI

Key Qualifications:

• Valid Michigan teaching certification with a Special Education endorsement
• Experience working with students at the elementary, middle, or high school level
• Strong understanding of individualized education programs (IEPs) and accommodations
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
• Ability to create inclusive, supportive classroom environments
• Passion for advocating for students with special needs

Primary Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement tailored instructional plans that address individual student IEP goals
• Adapt teaching strategies and materials to meet the different learning needs of students
• Collaborate closely with general education teachers, support staff, and parents to foster student growth
• Track student progress, adjust interventions, and maintain accurate documentation
• Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to team-based educational planning
