We are seeking three dedicated professionals to bring expertise and compassion to contract positions for the school year spanning August 31, 2026, through June 4, 2027. This opportunity offers a full-time schedule within a school environment focused on empowering students with diverse learning needs.
Key Qualifications:
- Valid Michigan teaching certification with a Special Education endorsement
- Experience working with students at the elementary, middle, or high school level
- Strong understanding of individualized education programs (IEPs) and accommodations
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to create inclusive, supportive classroom environments
- Passion for advocating for students with special needs
Primary Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement tailored instructional plans that address individual student IEP goals
- Adapt teaching strategies and materials to meet the different learning needs of students
- Collaborate closely with general education teachers, support staff, and parents to foster student growth
- Track student progress, adjust interventions, and maintain accurate documentation
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to team-based educational planning
- Foster an encouraging and respectful atmosphere for learners of varying abilities
