Job Description
Embark on a rewarding contract opportunity supporting students in a vibrant educational environment as a Speech-Language Pathologist. This assignment, beginning as soon as possible and extending through late May, involves working onsite, serving a diverse caseload with both monolingual and bilingual needs. You’ll work collaboratively alongside educators and professionals to make a meaningful impact on primarily elementary and some middle school students within a dynamic school district.
Desired Qualifications:
- Active Texas Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) license required
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP-CCC) preferred
- Previous school-based or pediatric SLP experience highly valued
- Bilingual Spanish/English skills desired for specific caseloads
- Strong assessment, evaluation, and case management abilities
- Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct speech-language evaluations for students with varied communication needs
- Manage cases, develop IEPs, and participate in multidisciplinary team meetings
- Provide direct therapy as needed, with an emphasis on assessment and consultative services
- Serve as a resource for both monolingual and bilingual students
- Monitor progress, maintain documentation, and collaborate with families and staff
