Job Description
Embark on a rewarding contract role supporting students as a Special Education Teacher in a dynamic school environment near Germantown, WI. This opportunity involves covering two leave positions and provides the chance for immediate impact through an ASAP start for shadowing, ensuring a smooth and seamless transition before fully stepping in from September 8th through January 15, 2027.
In this role, you will:
- Support students with diverse learning needs, utilizing individualized education plans (IEPs) to foster academic growth.
- Deliver engaging, differentiated instruction in both resource and inclusion settings.
- Collaborate closely with classroom teachers, administrators, and families to promote student success.
- Maintain accurate records of student progress and adapt instructional strategies as needed.
- Provide classroom management, positive behavior reinforcement, and emotional support.
- Engage in IEP meetings, communicate student needs, and advocate for necessary resources.
Desired qualifications:
- Valid certification to teach Special Education in Wisconsin.
- Previous experience as a Special Education Teacher preferred, including knowledge of best practices and current special education laws.
- Strong skills in developing and implementing effective IEPs.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
- Flexibility to adapt quickly to new situations and needs within the school community.
