Job Description
Job Title: CNC Machinist
Pay is $38 an hour and $160 in daily per diem
Location:Grantsburg, Wisconsin
50-60 hours a week.
As a Lathe Machinist, you will operate a variety of CNC lathes, responsible for producing precision parts in accordance with print specifications. This role involves operating and maintaining CNC machines, interpreting blueprints and CAD/CAM programs, selecting and setting tooling and offsets, performing first-article inspections, monitoring run conditions, and documenting production data.
Responsibilities
- Operate and maintain CNC machines to produce precision parts.
- Read blueprints and CAD/CAM programs to understand specifications.
- Select and set tooling and offsets for machine operations.
- Perform first-article inspections to ensure quality standards.
- Monitor run conditions and adjust as necessary for optimal performance.
- Document production data for quality and tracking purposes.
Essential Skills
- Proficiency in CNC Lathe Machining and the ability to read blueprints.
- Experience with G&M code editing and machine setup.
- Ability to fully set up machines from start to finish using a blueprint or CAM program.
- Capability to edit programs at the machine utilizing G&M codes.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Familiarity with Fanuc controls.
- Experience in quality checking parts and first-article inspections.

Work Environment
The work environment includes a typical machine shop setting. Available shifts are 2nd shift from 2:30 pm to 10:30 pm and 3rd shift from 10:30 pm to 6:30 am, Monday through Friday.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $38.00 - $38.00/hr.
