As the primary provider of reading instruction for high school students, you'll partner with another Special Education Teacher who focuses on math. You will also take on case management for eight students, ensuring their Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) are actively supported. Executive functioning minutes are addressed based on student needs and outlined IEP goals, providing a tailored approach to each learner.

What you’ll bring:

• Valid certification in Special Education
• Previous experience working with students at the high school level
• Strong skills in reading instruction and supporting diverse learning needs
• Excellent communication and organization abilities
• Ability to develop positive relationships with students, staff, and families

Your responsibilities will include:

• Delivering reading instruction to students as mandated by their IEPs
• Case managing a caseload of eight students, including progress monitoring and parent communication
• Collaborating with the school's other Special Education teacher and academic staff
• Implementing executive functioning skill development as required for individual students
• Creating supportive, engaging, and manageable learning environments
• Maintaining documentation, IEP updates, and compliance timelines
