We are looking for an experienced Human Resources Manager to support a contract assignment based in Somerset, Wisconsin. This role will guide core HR operations while serving as a trusted resource for employee relations, benefits administration, and workforce support. The position is ideal for someone who can balance day-to-day HR execution with thoughtful guidance on leave management, onboarding, and compensation-related matters.
Responsibilities:
• Lead daily human resources activities, ensuring consistent support across employee relations, HR administration, and policy application.
• Advise managers and staff on workplace concerns, helping resolve employee issues with professionalism, discretion, and sound judgment.
• Oversee benefits-related processes, including employee support, enrollment coordination, and responses to questions about available programs.
• Administer onboarding activities to create a smooth start for new hires and maintain accurate employment records throughout the hiring process.
• Manage leave programs such as FMLA and other absences, ensuring documentation, tracking, and communication are handled correctly.
• Maintain and update HR information systems, supporting data accuracy, reporting needs, and efficient record management.
• Analyze workforce information to identify trends, support planning efforts, and provide insight for HR and leadership decisions.
• Assist with compensation and benefits administration by helping maintain fair, organized, and compliant HR practices.

• At least 5+ years of experience in human resources, including broad exposure to employee relations and HR administration.
• Demonstrated knowledge of benefits processes, compensation support, and employee onboarding practices.
• Experience working with HRIS platforms and maintaining accurate personnel data and reporting.
• Familiarity with FMLA, leave of absence administration, and related compliance considerations.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to handle sensitive matters professionally.
• Ability to interpret HR policies, manage multiple priorities, and work effectively in a contract role.
• Sound organizational skills and attention to detail in a fast-paced human resources environment
