Step into a vital role as a school psychologist, supporting elementary students’ growth and well-being for the remainder of the academic year. This contract position centers around providing services to a manageable caseload of approximately 25 students in an engaging school environment located near Westport, CT. You will collaborate with faculty, administrators, and families to create a positive educational experience for young learners.

Key Qualifications:

  • Master’s or specialist-level degree in School Psychology
  • Valid certification or licensure as a school psychologist
  • Prior experience working with elementary-age students preferred
  • Strong understanding of IEP development and implementation
  • Excellent communication, consultation, and teamwork skills
  • Commitment to fostering a supportive and inclusive school environment

Core Responsibilities:

  • Deliver counseling services to assigned students, addressing academic, social, and emotional needs
  • Conduct comprehensive evaluations to assist in eligibility determinations for special education services
  • Develop, write, and update Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) in collaboration with interdisciplinary teams
  • Participate in IEP meetings, providing insights and recommendations to support student success
  • Offer consultation to teachers, staff, and families to ensure consistent implementation of targeted interventions
  • Monitor student progress and adjust interventions as needed
  • Maintain thorough documentation and adhere to all relevant policies and regulations

This full-time role encompasses 37.5 hours per week, beginning as soon as possible and extending through June 24th. You’ll make a meaningful impact on students’ lives while working in a supportive school community.
