Job Description
Step into an impactful teaching opportunity supporting the growth and success of 3rd–5th grade students receiving special education services. This full-time contract assignment runs for the remainder of the school year and focuses on delivering quality instruction and support to a caseload of 10 students in an inclusive or adaptive classroom setting.
Key Qualifications:
- Valid Special Education teaching credential
- Experience teaching students in grades 3–5
- Strong background working in inclusion and/or adaptive classrooms
- Ability to create differentiated instruction and IEP-driven learning activities
- Skilled in managing a small caseload with diverse needs
- Compassionate, patient, and collaborative approach to student engagement
- Excellent communication and documentation skills
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to each student’s unique abilities
- Facilitate engaging lessons that support academic, social, and behavioral growth
- Collaborate with general education teachers, related service providers, and families to support student progress
- Utilize a variety of instructional strategies and classroom management techniques
- Monitor progress, update documentation, and participate in IEP meetings
- Foster a positive, inclusive learning environment that inspires confidence and success
