Human Resources (HR) Business Partner
Job Description
Responsibilities:
• Advise managers and team leaders on employee relations matters, workplace concerns, and policy application to support fair and consistent outcomes.
• Conduct and document workplace investigations, gather relevant information, and provide recommendations aligned with company standards and employment practices.
• Partner with business leaders on performance management matters, including coaching conversations, corrective action, and resolution planning.
• Support compensation-related reviews by analyzing internal factors and helping leaders make informed pay decisions.
• Manage key HR administrative processes such as preparing offer documentation, maintaining employee records, and coordinating onboarding activities.
• Lead orientation sessions for new employees and help employees transition smoothly into the organization with clear guidance on policies and expectations.
• Provide onsite support connected to integration activities and collaborate with stakeholders to address people impacts during implementation efforts.
• Travel as needed to deliver in-person HR support, build relationships with local leadership, and respond to workforce needs across assigned areas.
• At least 5 years of experience in human resources, including direct partnership with managers on employee relations issues.
- 75% of this role will be traveling through Northeast and East Coast
• Demonstrated background handling workplace investigations and interpreting HR policies in a detail-focused setting.
• Working knowledge of performance management practices, employee documentation, and corrective action processes.
• Experience supporting compensation analysis, hiring administration, and onboarding or orientation activities.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build trust across employee and leadership groups.
• Ability to manage sensitive information with discretion and apply sound judgment in complex situations.
• Comfortable working onsite in Auburn, Maine and traveling when business needs require.
• Contract assignment experience or the ability to quickly adapt to a fast-moving, short-term HR engagement.
