The Order Fulfillment Specialist / Customer Service – Inside Sales Representative serves as the primary point of contact for customers, ensuring their orders, inquiries, and service needs are handled quickly, accurately, and professionally. This role focuses on processing customer orders, generating and managing quotes, coordinating with vendors and field sales, and providing timely information on pricing, stock, and order status. You use company software systems to support sales activities, maintain efficient order processing, and deliver a high‑quality customer experience with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities
  • Process customer orders quickly and accurately using company order entry and processing systems.
  • Send order confirmations to customers and ensure all order details are clear and correct.
  • Generate, review, and process customer quotes in coordination with sales processes and pricing guidelines.
  • Communicate with vendors to obtain up‑to‑date pricing and delivery information.
  • Check pricing and stock levels as requested by customers and provide accurate, timely responses.
  • Collaborate with Outside Sales representatives to review and support quote activity and customer opportunities.
  • Send customer quotes and direct‑ship purchase orders to vendors and ensure proper documentation.
  • Provide Outside Sales with current price and stock information to support field sales activities.
  • Answer incoming sales department phone calls, respond to voicemail messages, and assist customers in a professional manner.
  • Expedite customer orders when necessary and proactively follow up to ensure on‑time delivery.
  • Provide customers with tracking information and status updates for open orders.
  • Assist customers by specifying appropriate product solutions based on their descriptions and application needs.
  • Print pick tickets for urgent or “hot” orders to ensure timely fulfillment.
  • Run pricing for BES items and ensure correct pricing is applied to orders and quotes.
  • Use company software systems (such as P21 and M2M) and standard office applications to manage orders, quotes, and customer communications.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned to support the sales department, order fulfillment, and overall customer service operations.
Essential Skills
  • 2–4 years of experience in a related customer service, inside sales, or order processing role.
  • Working knowledge of sales order processing procedures and best practices.
  • Basic understanding of standard inventory practices, including stock levels and replenishment concepts.
  • Ability to interact with customers both in person and over the phone in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Strong multi‑tasking skills and the ability to manage multiple orders, inquiries, and priorities simultaneously.
  • Ability to handle difficult situations and customer issues professionally and calmly.
  • Effective interpersonal skills and strong teamwork capability to collaborate with sales and operations staff.
  • Self‑starter mentality with the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for clear customer and internal communication.
  • Dependable and consistent follow‑through on commitments, customer requests, and internal tasks.
  • Solid computer skills, including proficiency with Windows, Outlook, Internet Explorer, Excel, Adobe, and fast, accurate keyboarding.
  • Customer service skills focused on accuracy, responsiveness, and a positive customer experience.
  • Order entry, order tracking, fulfillment, and order processing skills in a business or manufacturing environment.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • Experience working in manufacturing or semiconductor environments.
  • Semiconductor industry experience and familiarity with related products and terminology.
  • Comfort using Adobe software for document handling and communication.
  • Ability to learn and effectively use company‑specific software systems such as P21 and M2M.
  • Strong attention to detail in reviewing orders, quotes, and pricing information.
  • Capability to support inside sales activities and coordinate with field sales representatives.
Work Environment

This role operates in a professional office and sales support environment within a manufacturing and semiconductor‑related business. You primarily work at a computer using Windows‑based systems, Outlook, Internet Explorer, Excel, Adobe, and company software platforms such as P21 and M2M to manage orders, quotes, and customer communications. The position involves frequent phone and email interaction with customers, vendors, and sales colleagues, as well as collaboration with Outside Sales to support field activities. Work is typically performed during standard business hours, with periods of higher activity when urgent or “hot” orders require rapid processing and coordination. The environment values reliability, accuracy, teamwork, and a customer‑focused approach, with a professional office dress code appropriate for regular customer and vendor communication.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Manor, TX.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $33.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
