School Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) | Port Saint Lucie, Florida

Make a meaningful impact supporting students’ communication growth as an on-site Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP-CCC) within a school setting in the Port Saint Lucie, FL area. Opportunities are available for three dedicated professionals to provide essential services during maternity leave coverage, each assigned to one school for focused support.

Assignments begin at various times:

• Manatee Academy K-8: Start ASAP through January (K-8 caseload, collaborative SLP team)
• Palm Pointe K-8: October through January (K-8 caseload, multiple ASD units, one other SLP onsite)
• Ft. Pierce Central High School: September through October 20th (High school caseload, support from an SLPA two days a week)

Each role offers approximately 35 hours per week, Monday through Friday, working directly with students to enhance their communication and language abilities.

Qualifications:

• Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
• Active Florida SLP license (CCC required)
• District fingerprint clearance (AHCA Clearinghouse prints accepted if already processed)
• Experience in school-based settings preferred
• Collaborative and flexible team player
• Skilled in supporting diverse age groups (elementary, middle, or high school students), including working with ASD units where relevant

Responsibilities:

• Deliver direct therapy services to assigned caseload
• Conduct evaluations and develop individualized education plans (IEPs)
• Collaborate regularly with teachers, staff, and families to support student progress
• Maintain timely and accurate documentation
• Participate in team meetings and contribute to a positive school environment
