Human Resources (HR) Coordinator
Job Description
We are looking for a Human Resources (HR) Coordinator to support core people operations for a services organization in Ewing, New Jersey. This contract position with the potential to become permanent plays a key role in keeping HR processes organized, compliant, and employee-focused across the full employment lifecycle. The ideal candidate will bring strong administrative ability, sound judgment with confidential information, and a proactive approach to coordinating onboarding, benefits, records, and day-to-day HR support.
Responsibilities:
• Oversee the accuracy and confidentiality of employee files and maintain current information across digital and paper-based HR records.
• Update HR systems with personnel changes such as new employees, departures, status updates, leave activity, and performance-related documentation.
• Support compliance efforts by organizing required records, assisting with reporting needs, and preparing documentation for audits or internal reviews.
• Serve as a point of contact for employee questions related to benefits programs, and coordinate enrollment, changes, and terminations in a timely manner.
• Partner with payroll contacts to help ensure employee data, attendance details, and leave information are recorded correctly for processing.
• Assist with recruiting coordination by managing job postings, reviewing incoming resumes, scheduling interviews, and communicating with candidates throughout the process.
• Facilitate onboarding and offboarding activities, including preparing employment paperwork, organizing orientation support, answering employee questions, and tracking the return of company property.
• Contribute to employee relations and performance administration by helping document concerns, supporting review processes, and escalating matters when appropriate.
• Provide general administrative support to the HR team by coordinating meetings, maintaining policy documents, handling sensitive correspondence, and assisting with special projects and engagement initiatives.
• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field, or comparable relevant experience.• At least 2 years of experience in HR coordination, HR administration, or a similar support role.
• Working knowledge of HR practices related to onboarding, employee records, compliance, and benefits administration.
• Experience using HRIS platforms and strong proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities with strong organizational skills and close attention to detail.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to handle sensitive and confidential information discreetly.
• Familiarity with background checks, documentation control, and employment-related recordkeeping requirements.
