Packaging Operator/ Chemical Operator/ Pay rate: $20/hr

Title: Packaging Operator/ Chemical Operator

Location: 788 Chert Quarry Road, Martin SC 29836

Shift: 6:30 am-3:00 pm ( M – F )

Job Summary:
We are looking for a Packaging Operator 1 with 1–2 years of chemical manufacturing experience preferred, and forklift experience required. The role involves production and packaging operations, chemical/equipment handling, maintaining quality and safety standards, completing documentation, and following SOPs.

Must Have:

• 1–2-year chemical manufacturing experience is preferred.
• Forklift experience required

Responsibilities

• Perform production and packaging operations according to current production processes and procedures.
• Transport chemicals and equipment to and from processes using pumps/piping, forklifts, pallet jacks, or dollies.
• Ensure the quality and quantity of products throughout the production process.
• Wear appropriate PPE for production processes, which may include full-face respirators, gloves, and protective suits.
• Clean equipment and work areas after production operations.
• Coordinate appropriate disposal of waste and complete required compliance documentation.
• Communicate and document the status of processes, products, and equipment.
• Communicate production and equipment status and report any deviations to the supervisor.
• Complete accurate batch records at the conclusion of production operations in accordance with quality guidelines.
• Complete all applicable logbooks as required by current procedures.
• Perform operations safely and in compliance with established rules and procedures.
• Follow all production procedures and safety policies at all times.
• Use, clean, and store personal protective equipment appropriately.
• Properly label all in-process equipment and containers.
• Take appropriate action to address unsafe conditions.
• Participate in required safety, quality, and other related training activities.
• Maintain good housekeeping in laboratory and work areas.

Basic Qualifications

Education & Experience:

• Associate’s degree in a Life Science-related field with 1–2 years of experience working in a similar environment; OR
• High school diploma with 1–3 years of experience working in a similar environment.
