Chassis Technician (General)
Job Description
As a Chassis Technician, you will play a crucial role in the assembly and maintenance of chassis components. You will ensure that all components are aligned accurately, meet tight tolerances, and adhere to quality control standards. Your work will involve installing mechanical and electrical components, conducting inspections, and diagnosing any issues that arise. You will collaborate with engineering and maintenance teams to resolve problems and contribute to continuous process improvements.
Responsibilities- Work on chassis components according to engineering drawings, specifications, and work instructions.
- Install and secure various mechanical and electrical components such as suspension systems, steering mechanisms, brakes, and wiring harnesses.
- Conduct thorough inspections and quality checks at each stage of the assembly process.
- Diagnose and resolve assembly issues and mechanical problems effectively and efficiently.
- Maintain accurate records of assembly procedures, part numbers, and any modifications.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.
- Perform routine maintenance on assembly equipment and tools.
- Contribute to process improvement initiatives by providing feedback and participating in training.
- Proficiency in chassis assembly, including framework, structure, or body.
- Experience in a manufacturing environment with the ability to read blueprints and work instructions.
- Automotive experience with creating and following instructions to build complex assemblies with precision.
- Ability to maintain strict confidentiality and act with integrity.
- Detail-oriented, resourceful, and diligent.
- Strong time management and organizational skills.
- Sound judgment and team problem-solving skills.
- The ability to establish trust and credibility.
- Experience in contributing to training and process improvement initiatives.

Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Garden Grove, CA.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $25.00 - $45.00/hr.
Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
