Sara Walker with Robert half is searching for an experienced Human Resources Manager to lead core people operations and support a positive, compliant workplace in Vancouver, Washington. This role oversees employee relations, day-to-day HR administration, benefits coordination, and payroll processes while helping leaders navigate workforce matters with sound judgment. The ideal candidate brings strong knowledge of HR compliance, practical problem-solving skills, and the ability to build trust across all levels of the organization.
Responsibilities:
• Guide managers and employees through workplace concerns, conducting fair and timely resolution of employee relations matters.
• Oversee essential human resources operations, including recordkeeping, policy administration, onboarding support, and employee documentation.
• Administer benefits programs by supporting enrollment, employee questions, eligibility updates, and coordination with external providers.
• Manage payroll-related activities in ADP to help ensure accurate processing, data maintenance, and issue resolution.
• Monitor HR practices and policies to maintain compliance with applicable employment laws, regulations, and internal standards.
• Partner with leadership to advise on performance concerns, corrective action, and other sensitive personnel matters.
• Review and improve HR procedures to strengthen efficiency, consistency, and employee experience across the organization.
• Support HR-related operational changes or process updates when needed, including coordination tied to internal systems or workflow adjustments.

• At least 5 years of progressive experience in human resources, including leadership or broad generalist responsibility.• Demonstrated background in employee relations with the ability to handle sensitive issues professionally and discreetly.
• Hands-on experience with ADP payroll systems and related HR data administration.
• Solid understanding of HR compliance requirements and employment law best practices.
• Experience managing benefits administration and responding to employee questions regarding coverage and eligibility.
• Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills with careful attention to detail.
• Ability to work effectively with leaders and employees at multiple levels of the organization.
