Step into a meaningful contract opportunity as a School Psychologist supporting students in the Denver area. This uniquely flexible assignment offers leave coverage opportunities beginning in August 2026, working directly with special education populations. The role is fully onsite and options for coverage at different schools will be discussed and assigned according to availability and need.

Key Qualifications:

  • Master’s, Specialist’s, or Doctorate in School Psychology
  • Active CDE Special Service Provider License endorsement in School Psychology
  • Previous experience working in school settings is required
  • Strong skillset in student assessment, mental health interventions, and creating functional behavior plans
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and intercultural collaboration abilities
  • Proficiency in technology for documentation and data management
  • Ability to remain calm and efficient during crisis situations
  • Must complete district credentialing requirements including background check and fingerprinting

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Provide group and individual counseling for students based on IEP mental health goals
  • Develop interventions addressing academic, social/emotional, behavioral, and mental health issues
  • Conduct suicide risk and threat assessments, crisis response, and assist with safety plans
  • Complete evaluations: cognitive, behavioral, emotional, and adaptive skills
  • Write formal evaluation reports and develop IEP goals
  • Participate in collaborative meetings, behavioral health team events, and professional development
  • Consult with families, teachers, service providers, and community agencies
  • Offer psychoeducation, home or wellness visits, and general education interventions
  • Support students on 504 plans and contribute to Multi-Tiered Systems of Support (MTSS)
