Tax Preparer

The Tax Preparer prepares and reviews individual and business tax returns, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations. The role involves gathering and analyzing financial information from clients, verifying documentation, identifying potential tax deductions and credits, and maintaining accurate records.

The Tax Preparer will communicate with clients to clarify tax-related questions, support the team during peak tax seasons, stay current on tax law changes, and contribute to process improvements that enhance service quality.

• Strong skills in Tax Preparation and Tax, including experience preparing individual and business returns.

• Strong knowledge of Tax Law, with the ability to interpret and apply relevant regulations and guidelines.

• Experience with Financial Statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and supporting schedules.

• Understanding of Finance, accounting principles, and basic financial analysis.

• Prior experience in tax or accounting roles, preferably in a public accounting or tax preparation environment.

• Proficiency with tax preparation software is beneficial.

• Strong numerical and analytical skills.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Associate or bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.

• Professional certifications such as EA or CPA are a plus.

• Ability to manage multiple deadlines, maintain confidentiality, and provide respectful, client-focused service.
