Job Description
Step into a dynamic contract position supporting special education students as a School Psychologist in the Denver area. This onsite-only assignment provides leave coverage in a variety of school settings, giving you the chance to make a profound impact across multiple campuses. Flexible coverage options are available, with assignments and hours tailored based on district needs and your availability.
You’ll collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams, educators, families, and community providers, delivering essential mental health and behavioral intervention services to students ranging from elementary through middle school. This contract role involves both direct counseling and broader systems-level supports, all to foster a positive learning environment.
Desired Qualifications:
- Master’s, Specialist, or Doctorate in School Psychology
- Active CDE Special Service Provider License endorsement in School Psychology
- Previous school-based experience required
- Strong assessment, crisis management, and communication skills
- Ability to work with students and stakeholders from diverse backgrounds
- Skilled in behavior intervention, progress monitoring, and program development
- Proficient with current computer technology and digital documentation
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide individual and group counseling in accordance with IEP mental health service goals
- Conduct cognitive, emotional, and behavioral assessments and prepare comprehensive evaluation reports
- Lead suicide risk and threat assessments, crisis intervention, and development of safety plans
- Collaborate in multidisciplinary meetings, IEP pre-planning, MTSS, and professional learning communities
- Offer consultative and psychoeducational services to staff, students, and families
- Document all interventions, progress, and outcomes via service logs and reports
- Ensure appropriate referrals and communication with outside service providers
