Job Description
HR Coordinator – Faribault, MN
$22–$29/hour | 100% onsite | Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM
A manufacturing organization in the Faribault area is adding an HR Coordinator to its team. This is a highly employee-facing role that would be a great opportunity for someone looking to build a career in Human Resources.
Spanish/English bilingual is required. HR experience is preferred, but it is not required if you bring strong customer service, administrative, coordination, and people skills.
What you’ll do:
- Serve as a friendly, approachable point of contact for employees and help direct questions to the appropriate HR team member
- Support hourly recruiting, including job postings, candidate communication, interview coordination, onboarding, and staffing agency communication
- Assist with new hire paperwork, background checks, employee files, HRIS updates, and other HR administration
- Help coordinate employee engagement activities, recognition programs, lunches, events, and company communications
- Support Spanish-speaking employees with basic HR questions and help ensure concerns are appropriately escalated when needed
- Assist with time-off/FMLA-related questions and other employee inquiries
- Help maintain accurate employee records and follow established HR processes
What we're looking for:
- Bilingual English/Spanish
- Strong customer service and interpersonal skills
- Professional, approachable personality and comfortable interacting with employees throughout the day
- Strong organization and attention to detail
- Able to multitask and keep track of several processes at once
- Comfortable using Microsoft Office and working in a computer-based environment
- Someone who is dependable, task-oriented, and comfortable following established processes
- HR experience is a plus, but not required
Transferable backgrounds could include hospitality, hotel/front desk, travel, logistics, customer service, administrative coordination, or other highly people-facing roles. The key is finding someone who is organized, personable, comfortable with people, and interested in learning HR.
