Job Description
Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting K-12 students as a Speech Language Pathologist Assistant. You’ll collaborate closely with educators and other specialists, focusing on a manageable caseload of approximately 60-65 students at one dedicated school site. Key Qualifications:
- Active Texas SLPA licensure (required at time of application; district cannot consider candidates with incomplete clinical hours)
- Experience working with school-age populations, preferably K-12
- Bilingual Spanish/English skills are highly preferred
- Experience supporting diverse learners in a school setting
- Ability to complete fingerprinting requirements through TEA (results may take up to 10 business days)
Role Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct speech-language services under supervision of a Speech-Language Pathologist
- Document progress and maintain accurate records for each student
- Participate in interdisciplinary meetings and IEP development
- Communicate effectively with educators, parents, and other team members
- Adapt therapy approaches to meet varied student needs
