Overview
Support HR operations for a manufacturing plant, partnering with employees and leaders on onboarding, employee relations, performance management, benefits, leave administration, compliance, and engagement initiatives. Reports to the Plant HR Manager.
Key Responsibilities- Serve as the primary HR contact for employees and managers.
- Lead onboarding, orientation, and employee integration activities.
- Investigate employee relations concerns and support conflict resolution.
- Administer FMLA, LOA, Workers' Compensation, and benefits-related processes.
- Support performance management and coach leaders on HR practices.
- Maintain personnel files, HR records, and EEO/AA reporting compliance.
- Conduct HR policy and compliance training.
- Drive employee engagement and retention initiatives.
- Represent the company at unemployment hearings as needed.
- Provide HR support across multiple shifts in a fast-paced plant environment.
- Bachelor's degree in HR, Business, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 2+ years of HR Generalist experience.
- Experience handling employee relations, investigations, and documentation.
- Experience administering FMLA, LOA, and Workers' Compensation.
- Knowledge of employment law, HR compliance, and record retention practices.
- Experience in high-volume, fast-paced environments; manufacturing preferred.
- HRIS experience (UltiPro preferred) and strong Microsoft Office skills.
- Excellent communication, organization, and multitasking abilities.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and support multiple shifts.
- Manufacturing industry experience.
- Experience with onboarding, benefits, recruiting, payroll, and talent management.
- Performance management and workforce planning experience.
- Spanish language skills.
- Power BI familiarity.
- Full-time, onsite role in a manufacturing facility.
- Visible plant-floor presence required.
- Supports a 24/7, multi-shift operation, including occasional weekends and holidays.
- Exposure to noise, temperature fluctuations, and a fast-paced production environment.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Ashland City, TN.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $36.06 - $38.46/hr.
Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
