Job Title: Driver (Class A CDL)Job Description

This role involves operating a Class A commercial vehicle to complete pick-up and drop-off runs for customers across Montana, Wyoming, South Dakota, and North Dakota, as well as performing local deliveries when regional runs are not required. You load and unload trailers using forklifts, maintain accurate daily driver logs, and complete all required safety checks on trucks and trailers. The position requires the ability to lift up to 70 pounds and deliver excellent customer service while supporting production and transportation activities.

Responsibilities
  • Complete pick-up and drop-off runs to customers across Montana, Wyoming, South Dakota, and North Dakota.
  • Spend Monday through Thursday on the road for regional route assignments as needed.
  • Perform local deliveries when you are not scheduled for out-of-state runs.
  • Load and unload trailers safely and efficiently using forklifts and other warehouse equipment.
  • Accurately write and enter daily driver logs in accordance with applicable regulations and company policies.
  • Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip safety checks on trucks and trailers, identifying and reporting any issues promptly.
  • Handle freight and materials, including lifting items up to 70 pounds when required.
  • Provide professional and courteous customer service during pick-ups and deliveries.
  • Follow all traffic laws, safety procedures, and company guidelines while operating commercial vehicles.
  • Coordinate with dispatch, warehouse staff, and other team members to ensure timely and accurate deliveries.
  • Maintain a clean and organized truck cab and assist in keeping warehouse areas orderly and safe.
  • Support production and logistics activities as needed to meet operational schedules.
Essential Skills
  • Valid Class A commercial driver’s license (CDL).
  • Current Department of Transportation (DOT) medical card.
  • Tanker endorsement on CDL.
  • Willingness to obtain a Hazmat endorsement if required.
  • Ability to lift up to 70 pounds safely and repeatedly.
  • Experience operating forklifts for loading and unloading trailers.
  • Strong customer service skills when interacting with clients during deliveries.
  • Ability to maintain accurate daily driver logs and documentation.
  • Knowledge of and commitment to performing all required truck and trailer safety checks.
  • Capability to work regional routes across multiple states and local delivery routes as assigned.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • Experience in production or warehouse environments.
  • Familiarity with regional driving across Montana, Wyoming, South Dakota, and North Dakota.
  • Comfort working both on the road and in warehouse settings.
  • Strong attention to detail and safety-focused mindset.
  • Reliable time management skills to meet delivery schedules and route hours.

Work Environment

The role combines regional driving and local routes with warehouse-based work. Local route hours typically run Monday through Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., while regional route hours generally run Monday through Thursday from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. Overtime is possible throughout the week, and you will work a minimum of 40 hours per week. You split your time between the warehouse and the truck cab, using forklifts and other material-handling equipment to load and unload trailers and operating Class A vehicles for deliveries. The environment is active and safety-oriented, with an expectation of appropriate work attire suitable for warehouse and driving duties, including clothing and footwear that support safe lifting, equipment operation, and professional customer interactions.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $62400.00 - $62400.00/yr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
