Job Description
The Assembler builds complete sensor products from pre-fabricated materials in a clean, calm, and spacious production environment. This role focuses on small parts and electronic assembly, following detailed work instructions on an iPad to create high-quality components and finished units. Assemblers contribute directly to a line-based production process and collaborate closely with their team to meet production goals while maintaining strict safety and quality standards.
Responsibilities- Perform full product builds of sensors using pre-fabricated materials, following written and digital work instructions on an iPad.
- Carry out mechanical assembly of product shells, boxes, and related components with precision and attention to detail.
- Execute soldering and wire bonding tasks on small electronic parts as required for product assembly.
- Conduct electronic assembly activities, including wiring, PCB-related tasks, and basic electrical assembly work.
- Use small hand tools and power tools safely and effectively to assemble, adjust, and secure components.
- Read and interpret work instructions in English, and apply them accurately throughout the assembly process.
- Perform quality inspection of parts and finished products, checking against specifications, blueprints, or schematics when provided.
- Package finished products in accordance with established procedures to ensure safe transport and storage.
- Collaborate effectively in a team environment, supporting production flow and communicating clearly with coworkers.
- Maintain a strong sense of urgency to meet production targets while preserving safety and quality standards.
- Adhere strictly to production safety standards and facility guidelines at all times.
- Stand for the duration of the shift as needed, working at both standing and seated stations depending on assignment.
- Follow line-based production processes, including machine operation related to SMT equipment when trained.
- Support general production tasks as required, contributing to continuous improvement of workflow and efficiency.
- Previous production experience in a manufacturing or similar environment.
- Proficiency using hand tools and basic power tools in a safe and controlled manner.
- Strong sense of urgency and understanding of production flow to meet daily output goals.
- Mechanical aptitude and ability to work with mechanical assemblies and components.
- Ability to read and follow work instructions in English with high accuracy.
- Ability to stand for the entire shift when required and work at both standing and seated stations.
- Comfort working in a line-based production environment with repetitive tasks.
- Capability to maintain focus and attention to detail while working with small parts.
- Experience with small parts assembly, including delicate or detailed component work.
- Background in electronic assembly, including basic electrical wiring and PCB-related tasks.
- Soldering experience, including work with small electronic components.
- Familiarity with SMT (Surface Mount Technology) machine operation.
- Experience reading and following detailed work instructions or standard operating procedures.
- Exposure to blueprint or schematic reading for mechanical or electronic components.
- Quality inspection experience in a production setting.
- Comfort working up to 10–15 hours of overtime per week when offered.

Work EnvironmentThe role is based in a line-based production facility that is very clean, calm, and quiet, with ample space for each team member. Work takes place in a structured manufacturing setting focused on sensor production, using small hand tools, power tools, and electronic assembly equipment, including SMT machines when applicable. Employees follow digital work instructions on iPads and adhere to established safety and quality standards. The day shift runs Monday through Friday from 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., with occasional earlier starts at 5:00 a.m. and some Saturday morning hours from 6:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. when needed. The swing shift operates Monday through Thursday from 3:30 p.m. to 1:30 a.m. and Friday from 3:30 p.m. to 11:30 p.m., with training initially conducted on the day shift for 1–2 months. Some work areas are seated and others are standing, and team members should be prepared to stand for the full shift where required. The environment emphasizes safety, cleanliness, and efficient production flow.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $18.00 - $18.00/hr.
Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
