Job Description
Step into a rewarding contract position supporting students as a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP-CCC) within a vibrant Florida school community. Opportunities are available at one of three school campuses, each offering unique, supportive environments and well-established teams.
Assignments are 35 hours per week, each focused on one campus—either Manatee Academy K-8, Palm Pointe K-8, or Ft. Pierce Central High School. Caseloads align with campus: K-8 (including ASD units) or high school, providing a dynamic and impactful experience working with diverse student populations.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Hold active Florida Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP-CCC) licensure.
- Prior experience in a school-based setting preferred.
- Solid understanding of age-appropriate interventions for K-8 or high school populations.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills to work closely with fellow SLPs, SLPAs, and school staff.
- Ability to address student IEP goals and contribute to multidisciplinary teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver speech/language therapy, evaluating and addressing student needs in accordance with IEPs.
- Maintain timely and accurate documentation for all services provided.
- Coordinate with teachers, therapists, and families to support student progress.
- Attend IEP meetings and contribute insights to educational planning.
- Provide support during maternity leave periods, ensuring continuity of care.
