Job Description
Shape the future of student growth in a supportive educational environment as a dedicated School Psychologist. This full-time, onsite contract role involves working with students from Pre-K through 8th grade. You’ll be collaborating with educators and families, providing essential psychological support and participating in development days, professional conferences, and other school events throughout the academic year.
Key Requirements:
- Valid (or in-progress) CDE license; please be prepared to provide documentation
- At least one year of direct classroom experience
- Strong familiarity with school-based psychological assessment and intervention strategies
- Ability to communicate effectively with teachers, families, and students
- Comfortable participating in teacher/professional development and parent-teacher conferences as needed
- Available to work the full school calendar (approximately 185 days), according to district scheduling
Role Responsibilities:
- Conduct individual and group assessments to identify learning, behavioral, and emotional needs
- Develop and implement intervention strategies that support students’ academic and social growth
- Collaborate with school staff to facilitate a positive, inclusive learning environment
- Provide crisis intervention as needed to maintain student well-being
- Consult with educators and parents/guardians to support student progress and coordinate services
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to educational planning
- Maintain thorough documentation in accordance with school standards
