For the second semester, as another Physical Therapist returns, the position transitions to a part-time .4 FTE role—perfect for professionals seeking more flexibility during the latter part of the school year.
To be successful in this position, candidates should possess:
- Valid PT licensure in Washington and a current ESA (Educational Staff Associate) credential, ready to present before starting
- Experience delivering physical therapy services in a school-based or pediatric setting
- A collaborative mindset, able to work closely with educators, family members, and other specialists
- Strong communication skills to tailor interventions and document progress
- Flexibility and adaptability as student needs and schedules may change
- Empathy, patience, and a dedication to fostering student independence
Your day-to-day will involve:
- Providing direct physical therapy to students, both individually and in small groups
- Developing and implementing IEP (Individualized Education Program) goals with measurable outcomes
- Consulting with teachers and aides on student accommodations and modifications
- Monitoring and documenting student progress, adjusting interventions as needed
- Engaging in IEP meetings and collaborating with multi-disciplinary teams
