Position Overview

The Civil Sales Engineer will support the overall design and technical sales effort for a broad range of products, including precast concrete products, waterworks supplies, pipe, castings, geotextiles, and related construction materials.

This role will provide technical and sales support to customers throughout the Tri-State area, including contractors, municipalities, industry, and homeowners. The position combines estimating, project take-offs, CAD drafting, technical documentation, and customer interaction.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform estimating and project quantity take-offs

  • Provide sales and technical support to customers

  • Prepare:

    • Proposals

    • Purchase orders

    • Submittal documents

    • Other technical sales documentation

  • Prepare CAD drawings for precast concrete products

  • Read and interpret construction drawings and specifications

  • Communicate regularly with:

    • Contractors

    • Consulting engineers

    • Government entities

    • Public agencies

    • Customers

    • Internal teams

  • Obtain approval for submittal drawings

  • Support sales, engineering, production, and product development activities

  • Coordinate technical requirements and documentation throughout the sales process

  • Maintain accurate and organized project records

  • Manage multiple projects and priorities while meeting deadlines

Required Qualifications

  • Proficiency with AutoCAD required

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite required

  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings required

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

  • Ability to multitask and manage multiple projects

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Ability to communicate professionally with engineers, contractors, public agencies, customers, and internal teams

Preferred Qualifications

  • BS in Civil Engineering, Civil Engineering Technology, or related field preferred

  • Construction experience preferred

  • Precast concrete design experience preferred

  • Experience with Adobe Pro preferred

  • Experience with estimating, project take-offs, or technical sales preferred
