The Supply Chain Analyst oversees short- and mid-term inventory deployment decisions across plants, distribution centers, and regions to meet service, cost, and inventory targets. This role manages order fulfillment and allocation strategies, proactively identifies and mitigates supply risks, and leads cross-functional efforts to resolve inventory imbalances and service issues. The analyst supports planning forums with data-driven insights, maintains master data integrity in planning systems, and drives reporting and continuous improvement initiatives to optimize cost, service, capacity, and working capital.

Responsibilities
  • Own and execute short- and mid-term inventory deployment decisions across plants, distribution centers, and regions to meet service, cost, and inventory targets.
  • Proactively identify supply risks using horizon-based analysis, incorporating inventory levels, inbound timing, quality assurance release status, and capacity constraints.
  • Monitor system alerts, inventory imbalances, and service risks, and lead cross-functional efforts to resolve issues through timely decisions.
  • Make trade-off decisions between service, cost, capacity, and waste within defined guardrails to support business objectives.
  • Define and govern allocation strategies, prioritization rules, and inventory segmentation policies to ensure effective order fulfillment.
  • Own the final decision on mitigation strategies in alignment with Order-to-Cash and Commercial inputs.
  • Lead critical allocation decisions during constrained supply situations, balancing customer service requirements with broader business priorities.
  • Communicate allocation strategies, service risks, and mitigation plans clearly to senior stakeholders.
  • Actively engage with key stakeholders in core planning forums to ensure alignment and effective collaboration.
  • Influence decision-making by providing data-driven insights, analysis, and recommendations to cross-functional teams.
  • Ensure alignment between planning assumptions, operational constraints, and overall business objectives.
  • Develop and deliver reporting on key performance indicators, including COF, waste, capacity utilization, supply payload, and redeployment cost.
  • Perform root cause analysis on service failures, inventory excess or shortage, and network inefficiencies to identify improvement opportunities.
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives focused on cost reduction, service improvement, and working capital optimization.
  • Conduct scenario modeling and what-if analysis to support strategic and tactical decision-making.
  • Own and maintain network planning master data in the planning system to support accurate planning and execution.
  • Ensure data integrity across planning systems to enable reliable and effective decision-making.
  • Drive planning system and process improvements to enhance planning efficiency, visibility, and overall performance.
Essential Skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate data into actionable decisions.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, with the ability to build, analyze, and interpret complex datasets.
  • Experience working with planning systems such as SAP or OMP in data-driven environments.
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills for effective interaction with stakeholders at multiple levels.
  • Strong organization and time management skills to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work with large datasets and extract meaningful insights to drive business outcomes.
  • Ability to make timely decisions with imperfect data, prioritizing solutions over escalation or analysis paralysis.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
  • 2–5+ years of experience in supply chain, demand or supply planning, transportation, or customer service.
  • Experience working in fast-paced, cross-functional environments.
  • Strong ability to analyze data and turn insights into concrete actions.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • Experience with logistics and inventory management concepts.
  • Familiarity with designing supply chain processes and planning frameworks.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Power BI or similar business intelligence tools.
  • Ability to leverage AI-enabled tools and advanced analytics to support planning and decision-making.
  • Background in reporting and performance measurement related to supply chain operations.
  • Experience with continuous improvement initiatives focused on cost, service, and working capital optimization.
Work Environment

The role operates in a fast-paced, cross-functional, and data-driven environment that relies heavily on planning systems such as SAP or OMP and advanced analytics tools. The Supply Chain Analyst collaborates closely with stakeholders across planning, logistics, order-to-cash, and commercial teams, participating in key planning forums and decision-making processes. Work involves regular use of Microsoft Excel, Power BI, and AI-enabled tools to manage large datasets, monitor alerts, and produce insightful reporting on key supply chain KPIs. The environment emphasizes continuous improvement, timely decision-making, and clear communication, with a focus on balancing service, cost, capacity, and inventory performance.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Solon, OH.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $35.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
