R&d Technician
Job Description
The Contract Lab Technician is responsible for testing and validating Airflex industrial brakes and clutches, including new products, modifications to existing products, and troubleshooting issues.
Responsibilities- Perform industrial brake and clutch tests and experiments.
- Prepare test samples, build prototypes, and install units onto various test stands.
- Retrieve, verify, and analyze test data for engineer review.
- Create and update work instructions and lab documentation.
- Work with product engineers to support the generation of test reports.
- Troubleshoot and maintain test stands and other lab equipment.
- Associate's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering is strongly preferred.
- 3 years of experience working in an engineering lab.
- Experience with Labview software and data acquisition systems.
- Proficiency in MS Office applications, especially Word and Excel.
- Critical thinking and problem-solving attitude.
- Hydraulic or pneumatic testing experience.
- Repair and research & development experience.
The role is based in an R&D testing lab, which is a hands-on environment with some desk work. The company boasts an excellent culture where employees are happy to come to work daily. There is no micromanagement; instead, employees are encouraged to share their ideas for potential implementation.
Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract position based out of Cleveland, OH.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $28.00 - $33.00/hr.
Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
