Production Operator

The Production Operator plays a key role in manufacturing high-quality medical devices such as pacemakers, ICDs, leads, and related assemblies. Working under close supervision within a manufacturing cell, this position supports assembly, repair, and testing processes in a controlled, clean room environment while adhering to strict safety and quality standards. The Production Operator contributes as a team member with frequent external customer interactions and a focus on precision and regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities

• Follow standardized work instructions for assembly, repair, and testing tasks
• Maintain accurate documentation, production logs, and quality records
• Ensure product traceability and promptly report quality issues
• Communicate effectively with supervisors, peers, and external customers
• Adhere to all safety guidelines and use required personal protective equipment (PPE)
• Participate in continuous improvement and quality enhancement activities
• Support production, quality, and profitability objectives
• Comply with Quality Management System (QMS), Environmental Management System (EMS), and regulatory requirements
• Assist in monitoring individual and team performance metrics

Required Qualifications

• Ability to read, understand, and follow written and verbal instructions
• Basic computer skills and experience with electronic data entry
• Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills
• Comfortable handling small, delicate components
• Ability to prioritize tasks and manage workflow effectively
• Ability to make sound decisions with minimal supervision

Preferred Qualifications

• 3+ years experience in medical device manufacturing
• Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing principles
• Experience working in a clean room environment
• Proven ability to read and follow detailed work instructions
• Strong organizational skills supporting production efficiency
