Occupational Therapist School Setting - Bear, DE

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Valid Occupational Therapist license in the appropriate state
• Previous experience in school-based or pediatric Occupational Therapy
• Comfort and skill in providing services via teletherapy and in-person as needed
• Knowledge of IEP development and school documentation
• Ability to collaborate effectively with teachers, families, and support staff
• Strong communication and organizational skills

Key Responsibilities:

• Assess students to develop and implement individualized therapy plans
• Deliver occupational therapy services tailored to student needs in both in-person and remote settings
• Track progress and maintain accurate, timely documentation according to school guidelines
• Participate in IEP meetings, collaborate on educational strategies, and provide input for accommodations
• Support teachers and staff with strategies to promote student independence and classroom participation
• Communicate with families regarding progress and home carryover activities
