Job Description
Step into a rewarding opportunity supporting students as a contract Occupational Therapist covering a maternity leave from November 1st to February 12th. Bring your expertise in school-based therapy to make a difference in an educational setting near Bear, DE, for a full-time, 37.5-hour workweek.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Valid Occupational Therapist license in the appropriate state
- Previous experience in school-based or pediatric Occupational Therapy
- Comfort and skill in providing services via teletherapy and in-person as needed
- Knowledge of IEP development and school documentation
- Ability to collaborate effectively with teachers, families, and support staff
- Strong communication and organizational skills
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess students to develop and implement individualized therapy plans
- Deliver occupational therapy services tailored to student needs in both in-person and remote settings
- Track progress and maintain accurate, timely documentation according to school guidelines
- Participate in IEP meetings, collaborate on educational strategies, and provide input for accommodations
- Support teachers and staff with strategies to promote student independence and classroom participation
- Communicate with families regarding progress and home carryover activities
