Occupational Therapist School Setting in Newark, DE

Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting students’ development in a dynamic school-based environment near Newark, DE. As an Occupational Therapist covering a maternity leave, you will play an essential role in helping students succeed by providing therapeutic services tailored to their unique needs. This position is scheduled for 37.5 hours per week and runs from November 1st through February 12th.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Valid Occupational Therapist license and credentials
• Experience with school-based OT services
• Familiarity with both in-person and teletherapy delivery models
• Strong communication and collaboration skills with students, families, and staff
• Previous exposure to working in educational settings preferred

Responsibilities:

• Conduct assessments to identify students’ strengths and targeted areas for growth
• Develop and implement individualized intervention plans in accordance with IEPs
• Provide therapy, consultation, and support using both traditional and teletherapy modalities as appropriate
• Document progress, communicate regularly with educators and parents, and attend relevant meetings
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to promote functional independence in the classroom and school environment
