Job Description
Embark on a dynamic contract opportunity supporting K-8 students as a School Psychologist in the Denver area. Multiple coverage options are available, allowing you to leverage your expertise in direct service and crisis management within engaging educational settings. These roles are onsite only, providing leave coverage assignments. Your impact will be felt at the middle and elementary levels, with age groups and caseloads determined by assignment selection.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Master’s, Specialist’s, or Doctorate degree in School Psychology
- Active Colorado Department of Education (CDE) Special Service Provider License in School Psychology
- Previous school-based experience is required
- Strong student assessment background with proven ability in cognitive, emotional, and behavioral evaluations
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal collaboration skills with staff, families, and outside providers
- Calm presence under crisis, able to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
- Solid computer and technology proficiency
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide group and individual counseling per IEP mental health goals
- Develop targeted interventions to address academic, behavioral, and social/emotional needs
- Document progress, author reports, and contribute to IEP goal development
- Lead suicide risk and threat assessments, and support crisis response and safety plan implementation
- Perform evaluations, gather and interpret data, conduct Functional Behavioral Assessments (FBA) and create Behavioral Intervention Plans (BIP)
- Participate in school meetings, professional learning communities, and collaborative teams
- Deliver psychoeducation, staff development, behavioral consultation, and connect students/families to community resources
