Step into a dynamic educational environment near Kent, WA, and help students achieve their fullest potential through high-quality physical therapy services. This contract position offers the unique opportunity to support the school community throughout the year, adapting to evolving student needs.

In the first semester, you’ll work full-time up until Winter Break, ensuring students receive comprehensive therapy and seamless continuity of care. For the second semester, you will transition to a part-time schedule (.4 FTE) when the existing physical therapist returns, allowing for flexibility in your work-life balance. Candidates must have a valid ESA credential prior to the start date.

Preferred Background and Experience:

  • Current Physical Therapist license
  • Valid Educational Staff Associate (ESA) certificate ready to present before your first day
  • Experience delivering PT services in school settings preferred
  • Strong communication and collaborative skills, with the ability to work effectively with students, teachers, and families
  • Proficient in evaluation, goal setting, and implementation of individualized education plans (IEPs)
  • Ability to adapt strategies to diverse student populations and grade levels

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct physical therapy interventions for students as outlined in their educational plans
  • Conduct assessments and evaluations to determine students’ mobility, motor skills, and therapy needs
  • Collaborate closely with educators and parents to foster student success
  • Document services and progress according to district and state requirements
  • Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to multidisciplinary teams
