Job Description

We are seeking an Electrical Designer with 2-4 years of experience in electrical design and drafting. The ideal candidate will have expertise in AutoCAD, with additional experience in Revit and BIM being advantageous. Key responsibilities include energy compliance documentation, photometric analysis, and effective written and verbal communication. The candidate should demonstrate experience in designing power, lighting, fire alarm, and low-voltage systems. Opportunities exist to work on a variety of projects, including Healthcare (OSHPD), K-12 (DSA), Higher Education, Civic and Commercial, Recreation, and Multi-Family Residential projects.

This is a hybrid position with a 2 day onsite requirement.

Responsibilities

  • Design and draft electrical systems using AutoCAD and Revit.
  • Prepare energy compliance documentation and perform photometric analysis.
  • Develop designs for power, lighting, fire alarm, and low-voltage systems.
  • Collaborate on projects in various sectors such as Healthcare, K-12, Higher Education, Civic, and Commercial.
  • Manage multiple projects and meet deadlines effectively.
  • Communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders.

Essential Skills

  • 2-4 years of experience in electrical design and drafting.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and experience with Revit and BIM.
  • Knowledge of energy compliance software and photometric analysis.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience with OSHPD and DSA project requirements.
  • Self-motivated and self-directed with strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to work well in a team environment.

Work Environment

The work environment is a modern, state-of-the-art facility located in Rancho Cordova, with additional support from an office in Long Beach. The office features an open plan with tall, walled cubicles, standing desks, and dual monitors, providing a quiet and corporate consulting atmosphere. The facility includes an on-site gym, promoting work-life balance and a flexible work schedule.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of RANCHO CORDOVA, CA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $33.00 - $38.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
