The Logistics Analyst 1 coordinates and expedites the flow of work and materials within and between departments according to the production schedule. This role focuses on reviewing and distributing production, work, and shipment schedules, while compiling detailed reports on inventory levels, costs, and related data. The analyst supports efficient production operations by ensuring materials, documentation, and data are accurate, timely, and aligned with organizational standards and requirements.

Responsibilities
  • Examine documents, materials, and products to assess completeness, accuracy, and conformity to established standards and specifications.
  • Monitor work processes across departments to ensure production activities follow schedules and meet quality and performance expectations.
  • Review production schedules, work orders, and staffing tables to determine personnel requirements, material needs, and material priorities.
  • Record production data, including volume produced, consumption of raw materials, and quality control measures, in an accurate and timely manner.
  • Requisition and maintain inventories of materials and supplies required to meet ongoing and forecasted production demands.
  • Compile and analyze reports on inventory levels, costs, and related operational metrics to support data-driven decision making.
  • Use Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables and V/X lookups, to organize, analyze, and present production, cost, and inventory data.
  • Apply knowledge of applicable laws and regulations related to shipping and production when reviewing documentation and coordinating materials.
  • Accurately document and record customer and client information in relevant systems and reports.
  • Demonstrate accountability by following through on assigned tasks, meeting deadlines, and supporting continuous improvement in logistics planning.
  • Collaborate with colleagues and stakeholders using clear verbal and written communication to resolve issues and optimize workflows.
  • Utilize data analytics to identify trends, issues, and opportunities in production and logistics performance.

  • Ability to accurately document and record customer and client information in systems and reports.
  • Knowledge of applicable laws and regulations related to shipping and production and the ability to apply them to daily work.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, including creating and using pivot tables and performing V/X lookups for data analysis.
  • General proficiency with computer applications such as Microsoft Word and Excel for documentation and reporting.
  • Accountability in managing tasks, meeting deadlines, and maintaining reliable performance in a production-focused environment.
  • Strong attention to detail specifically in reviewing documents, data, and inventory records.
  • Data analytics capability to interpret production, cost, and inventory data and support operational decisions.
  • 0–2 years of related experience in logistics, supply chain, or a similar analytical or operations role.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business or Supply Chain is required.
  • High school diploma or GED is required.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • Experience using Microsoft Excel at an advanced level, including pivot tables and V/X lookups, is strongly preferred.
  • Experience with Power BI for data visualization and reporting is desired.
  • Internship experience in transportation, freight forwarding, or customs brokerage is accepted as relevant job experience.
  • Familiarity with inventory management practices and production scheduling concepts is beneficial.
  • Understanding of basic quality control measures and how they relate to production data and reporting.
  • Interest in developing a career in logistics, supply chain, or production planning in a data-driven environment.
Work Environment

This role is based in an office environment and is performed on-site five days per week. The position follows standard 8-hour shifts on first shift, local time. Work is primarily computer-based, using tools such as Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, and potentially Power BI to analyze data and prepare documentation. The environment is structured around production schedules and deadlines, requiring consistent attention to detail and timely communication. The setting supports professional attire appropriate for an office and encourages collaboration, accountability, and data-driven decision making within a logistics and supply chain-focused culture.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Morton, IL.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $22.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
