Key Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid School Psychologist certification required
- Previous experience providing psychological services in a school setting, ideally at the elementary level
- Strong knowledge of IEP procedures, compliance, and documentation standards
- Skillful in conducting assessments, interpreting results, and developing intervention strategies
- Empathetic communication and counseling abilities with students, families, and multidisciplinary teams
- Detail-oriented, with organization skills for managing caseloads of approximately 25 students
Essential Responsibilities:
- Deliver a range of counseling services to elementary-aged students to support their emotional and academic development
- Conduct comprehensive assessments and evaluations, contributing findings to IEP meetings and planning
- Lead and facilitate the writing and updating of IEPs, collaborating effectively with special education teams and families
- Participate in eligibility, re-evaluation, and review meetings as a key educational partner
- Implement evidence-based interventions and monitor progress on behavioral and educational goals
- Serve as a resource for teachers and staff on best practices for classroom management and student support
