Job Description
An opportunity is available for a dedicated professional to support young learners in a kindergarten classroom setting. This long-term contract position is ideal for someone passionate about making a positive impact while working in a collaborative environment.
The role focuses on providing classroom assistance to the lead teacher and supporting students’ daily activities. The assignment begins as soon as possible and is expected to continue through late October 2026, with a possibility for extension depending on the school’s needs. This full-time position offers approximately 37.5 hours per week.
Qualifications & Experience
- Active GaPSC Certification is required
- Previous pediatric experience, particularly within a school setting, is strongly preferred
- Demonstrated ability to follow teacher direction and contribute to a positive classroom atmosphere
- Strong communication skills and a patient, caring attitude
- Comfortable working as a class aide in a non-special education room with kindergarten-aged children
- Dependable and committed to consistent, timely attendance
Key Responsibilities
- Assist the lead kindergarten teacher with classroom management and daily routines
- Foster a supportive and interactive learning environment
- Help students with educational activities and transitions throughout the day
- Ensure the safety and well-being of all students, following all school protocols
- Collaborate effectively with teachers and school staff
- No toileting or personal care required at this time
