Location: Cranberry Township, PA (Pittsburgh Area) (100% Onsite)
Employment Type: Contract-to-Hire (6-Month Potential Conversion)
Travel: Up to 25% (U.S. and Canada, with potential international travel)

We are seeking a Senior Hardware Integration Engineer to join a highly collaborative engineering team responsible for designing and integrating complex hardware, control panel, and security systems for government and critical infrastructure projects nationwide.
This is a hands-on engineering role ideal for someone who enjoys combining electrical design, AutoCAD, industrial controls, and hardware systems integration while working directly with customers, vendors, and internal engineering teams.
The position is open due to an internal promotion, reflecting the organization's strong commitment to employee growth and long-term career development.
What You'll Do:
'05; Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related technical discipline
'05; 5+ years of engineering experience
'05; Strong AutoCAD design experience

What You'll Do:
- Design and maintain engineering drawings using AutoCAD
- Develop electrical and mechanical system layouts
- Design industrial control panels including:
- Low-voltage power supplies
- Terminal blocks
- Network switches
- Internal panel wiring
- Create and manage project design documentation from concept through as-built drawings
- Support system staging, testing, troubleshooting, and Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT)
- Oversee technicians during panel assembly and system integration activities
- Coordinate with fabrication vendors and inspect completed panel builds
- Design hardware infrastructure layouts involving:
- Servers
- IT racks
- Workstations
- Network switches
- Hardware interconnections
- Participate in customer meetings, design reviews, and project planning activities
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, technicians, and vendors throughout the project lifecycle
- Travel periodically to customer sites for surveys, inspections, installation support, and testing
