As a Pharmacy Technician, you will be responsible for retrieving medication from stock, counting and packaging orders for pharmacist review, maintaining work stations with adequate supplies, removing outdated products from shelves, assisting with inventory replenishment, and maintaining par levels of pre-packaged auxiliary items. Occasionally, you may be asked to reach out to patients for customer service calls and make inquiries on orders shipped.

Responsibilities
  • Process and fill prescription orders in preparation for pharmacist verification.
  • Pack and ship completed prescription orders to patients.
  • Maintain drug inventory and automated dispensing units.
  • Replenish work station supplies for filling prescriptions as needed, including vials, caps, and labels.
  • Work within multiple computer systems simultaneously to respond to questions or provide specific medication details or clinical information.
Essential Skills
  • Pharmacy technician certification.
  • 2+ years of pharmacy technician experience.
  • Experience in retail/high-volume pharmacy.
  • New Jersey Pharmacy Technician License.
  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds.
  • Ability to stand for up to 8 hours with intermittent breaks.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • High School Diploma/GED or higher.
  • Pharmacy/prescription data entry experience.
  • National Pharmacy Technician Certification.
  • Previous experience working in a mail order setting.
  • Competency in basic mathematical equations with different forms of measurements, whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Proficient computer and organizational skills.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong teamwork and cooperation skills.
Work Environment

This position is full-time, 40 hours per week, from Monday to Friday. The work hours are from 6 AM to 2:30 PM, and flexibility to work an 8-hour shift schedule during these hours is required. There may be occasional overtime or weekend work based on business needs. The role is onsite, in a fast-paced, high-volume environment where accuracy and efficiency are crucial.

This is a Contract position based out of Montville, NJ.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $23.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
