Qualifications:

  • Michigan active Special Education teaching license (SPED)
  • Prior experience teaching students with autism preferred
  • Experience with elementary-aged children
  • Ability to work full-time during the 2026-2027 academic year
  • Willingness to obtain fingerprint clearance before start
  • Eagerness to adapt to new environments

Responsibilities:

  • Lead instruction in an ASD classroom at the elementary level
  • Create and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
  • Collaborate with district-provided support staff (Para, RBT, CNA, or LPN as available)
  • Foster positive, inclusive classroom environments
  • Work closely with colleagues and families for student success
