Location: Las Vegas, Nevada
Schedule: 35 hours per week

Position Overview

Sunbelt Staffing is seeking a dedicated Special Education Teacher for a 7–12 self-contained Autism classroom in Las Vegas, NV. This is an excellent opportunity for an educator who is passionate about helping students with Autism develop academically, socially, behaviorally, and independently.

The ideal candidate will provide individualized instruction, create a structured and supportive classroom environment, and collaborate with school staff and families to help students achieve their educational goals.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs).
• Provide specialized instruction in a self-contained Autism classroom.
• Adapt lessons and curriculum to meet individual student needs.
• Monitor and document student progress.
• Support students with academic, behavioral, communication, and social-development goals.
• Collaborate with families, school administrators, therapists, and other educational professionals.
• Participate in IEP meetings and other school-based meetings.
• Maintain a safe, positive, and structured learning environment.

Qualifications

• Nevada Special Education Certification required.
• Experience working with students with Autism preferred.
• Experience in a self-contained classroom setting is a plus.
• Strong classroom management and communication skills.
• Ability to develop and implement individualized instructional strategies.
• Commitment to supporting students with diverse learning needs.
