What’s a typical day as a Quality Control Inspector?You’ll be:
  • Building, repairing, and testing a variety of equipment including electrical, electro-mechanical, vacuum, and pneumatic assemblies, subassemblies, and components using work orders, schematics, wiring diagrams, and instructions.
  • Performing electro-mechanical assembly operations, troubleshooting, and repairs.
  • Receiving and auditing parts to ensure availability and inspecting for defects; improving processes as needed.
  • Using test fixtures, electronic measurement equipment, leak detectors, and vacuum pumps to test assemblies and components.
  • Completing required job documentation including data entry, labor details, and software installs.
  • Working independently with minimal supervision and serving as an informal resource for junior colleagues.
This job might be an outstanding fit if you:
  • Have an Associate’s degree.
  • Possess 2–4 years of semiconductor, display, comparable industry, or military experience.
  • Have related technical training and certifications.
  • Are comfortable working in a physically demanding environment (standing, walking, bending, kneeling, lifting, operating machinery, and using hand/power tools).
  • Can work in a cleanroom with appropriate Personal Protective Equipment.
  • Demonstrate analytical skills and strong problem-solving abilities using established procedures.
  • Have experience as a peer leader or trainer in a manufacturing setting (preferred).
  • Are proficient in semiconductor manufacturing concepts and processes (preferred).
