Job Description
An opportunity is available for a travel pharmacist to support a 25-bed critical access hospital in Clear Lake, CA. This assignment offers exposure to a dynamic hospital pharmacy environment focused on delivering critical care services.
Location: Clear Lake, CA
Assignment Duration: 13 weeks
Start Date: ASAP
Schedule:
- Day shifts
- Four 10-hour shifts per week
- Schedule is flexible; Director of Pharmacy open to blocking shifts
Key Responsibilities:
- Verify medication orders to ensure safety and accuracy
- Supervise pharmacy technicians to maintain efficient pharmacy operations
- Consult with physicians to provide expert pharmaceutical guidance
- Apply pharmacokinetics knowledge for optimized dosing and patient care
- Utilize EPIC and Omnicell systems effectively within the hospital setting
Qualifications:
- Active California pharmacist license
- Prior hospital pharmacy experience, ideally within critical access or similar facilities
- Full-time availability throughout the 13-week assignment
