Special Education Teacher - Avondale, AZ

This contract opportunity for a Special Education Teacher spans the 2026-2027 academic year, providing the chance to deliver onsite resource services and personalized instruction for learners with diverse needs. You’ll work closely with students, families, and staff to deliver case management for IEPs, ensure compliance with state and federal regulations, and cultivate a positive, inclusive classroom environment.

Qualifications and Experience Desired:

• Active Arizona Special Education Teacher Certification required
• Must obtain and maintain a valid Arizona Identity Verified Prints (IVP) Fingerprint Clearance Card
• Experience supporting students with exceptionalities at the high school level is advantageous
• Familiarity with federal, state, and district rules regarding IEPs
• Ability to collaborate as part of an interdisciplinary team
• Strong communication and organizational skills

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage a caseload of students on IEPs and maintain compliance with all relevant regulations
• Deliver direct instruction aligned with each student’s IEP goals
• Develop and implement a continuum of services tailored to student needs
• Maintain meticulous records for documentation and reporting
• Participate in the RtI (Response to Intervention) process and collaborate with staff
• Maintain ongoing communication with parents and guardians regarding progress and concerns
• Provide behavior management support, including implementing behavior intervention plans
• Facilitate accommodations and modifications within the school setting
• Establish a safe, supportive learning environment for all students
• Fulfill other related duties as assigned
