Job Description
Step into a rewarding contract opportunity as a School Psychologist, supporting special education students in the Denver area. This onsite role offers flexible assignment options to address leave coverage needs, with possible placements at Aurora Hills Middle School, Coal Creek P-8, or Crawford Elementary. Your typical day will encompass individual and group counseling services based on IEP goals, mental health support in general education classrooms, and collaboration with educators, families, and external service providers.
Key Qualifications:
- Master’s, Specialist’s, or Doctorate degree in School Psychology
- Valid CDE Special Service Provider License with School Psychology endorsement
- Prior experience working in school settings is required
- Expertise in psychological assessments, evaluation reports, and behavioral intervention plans
- Advanced skills in crisis management, including suicide and threat assessment procedures
- Competence in intervention development for academic, social, emotional, and behavioral needs
- Exceptional communication, collaboration, and consultation abilities across diverse teams
- Solid technology skills for record-keeping and documentation
Role Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct counseling and mental health services to special education students
- Conduct and document comprehensive assessments and evaluations
- Draft IEP goals, progress reports, and educational impact statements
- Actively participate in IEP meetings, MTSS teams, and building staff discussions
- Support crisis response, including safety planning and classroom interventions
- Consult with families, teachers, and community agencies
- Provide psychoeducation and professional development for school staff
- Create and implement behavioral interventions and Functional Behavioral Assessments
